We all know how powerful kindness is, but when combined with knowledge and skills – wow!
For those of you who don’t know us, Sussex Nightstop offers a community response to homelessness. We serve young people in Brighton and Hove who are sofa-surfing or facing a night on the streets. We train our fantastic volunteer hosts who open their homes to Brighton & Hove’s homeless for a night or two, sometimes more, whilst our support worker links them with everything they need to find a permanent solution. A safe night’s sleep can work wonders. But it’s the kindness of our hosts that has such a profound impact.
The other day. a client expressed this so well:
“I have come such a long way since finding Nightstop. We have been on such an amazing journey together. Please thank the hosts for me. I really enjoyed making them some nice food… they are all so amazing, they have hearts the size of the ocean!”
